This spring semester, I was an intern in the Development office at Discovery World, a local hands-on museum dedicated to educating the public and Milwaukee school system on innovation, science and technology. As a development intern, I was responsible for donor communications, researching grants and serving as the main contact and writer for the organization's quarterly newsletter. I initiated the project, determining which sections should be included and what individuals should be interviewed for feature pieces.
One piece I was responsible for was introducing two of the newest members to the organization's board of directors. I interviewed both individuals and decided what responses should be included to best highlight the success and visions of them as leaders.
